Chicago, Illinois, November 9, 2010 The Chicago Cubs and Cincinnati-based EMI Network are pleased to announce a new publication and marketing services strategic partnership.

Under the new arrangement, EMI Network (www.eminetwork.com) will manage and operate the Cubs’ Publications and Creative Services Department, including exclusive production of the team’s publications such as Vine Line magazine. EMI will also support the Cubs with photography, video and graphic services. Both parties look forward to producing first-class content for Cubs fans worldwide.

“In an always changing media landscape, EMI will provide our publications team a great opportunity to thrive long term,” said Wally Hayward, Executive Vice President and Chief Sales & Marketing Officer for the Chicago Cubs. “In searching for a partner, we looked for a company that had a wide range of capabilities, from print to interactive and new media. “The Internet is fleeting. Magazines are immersive,” says one ad, which is slated to appear in May issues of the participating publications. The first spread features a photo of swimmer Michael Phelps from ESPN The Magazine, with the headline “We surf the Internet. We swim in magazines.”
